YES! Even in 2020, listing a home during the holidays, can be extremely advantageous to homeowners, and it doesn’t have to ruin any holiday cheer! For those of us that have homes for sale that haven’t quite yet flown off the market in days, here are some reasons to stick to the game plan and don’t pull it off and wait until Spring!!

1. Little to No Good Inventory!  I know it may seem like a hassle to keep your houses clean and organized for showings with all of your decorations but PLEASE TRY! Buyers agents have buyers who are ready right now and want to take advantage of the interest rates being so low.  There are so few homes that meet their criteria and with the shortage already, you have AN ADVANTAGE as sellers! This is THE BEST TIME to get your asking price!!
2. You are in the DRIVERS SEAT! Which means, you can CONTROL YOUR SHOWINGS! Communicate with your Real Estate Agent as to what days are good for showings.  You can have black out dates so you can focus on the days and times that work best for you!
3. You can still decorate for the holidays! Make your home festive but DON’T OVERDO IT. Buyers get into the spirit of the holidays when your home is nicely decorated.
4. The Buyers who are making appointments to see your home ARE MOTIVATED!! If you have someone wanting to come and tour your home instead of celebrating the season with family and friends, they ARE SERIOUS!! Most buyers who aren’t motivated will put off a home search until Spring when there is more inventory to choose from.
